Teacher Certification Program

Yoga Therapy in Cancer and Chronic Illness (YCat) is a professional, three-level certification program designed to train health professionals and experienced Yoga teachers to work safely with cancer patients at any stage of illness as well as people with stable chronic illness.

The goal of this program is to enable Yoga teachers to adapt traditional Yoga practices to meet the physiological and psychological needs of this population and to communicate effectively with medical personnel. At the completion of the program, Yoga teachers will be qualified to design and implement in and out patient wellness/stress management-based programs for people with cancer and chronic illness.

Participants receive certificates of attendance for each level completed and at the completion of all three levels graduates receive training certification in this specialty.
